Hello Reader, I sat in my bedroom, gripping my coffee mug like it was my lifeline. The noise from the other side of the door—kids arguing over something trivial, the dogs barking, a timer beeping in the kitchen—felt like too much. My to-do list loomed in my mind: homeschooling lessons, writing deadlines, laundry piles, and caregiving needs. And then came the whisper: You can’t do this. The words replayed in my mind. And deep down, this thought settled: You’re not enough. I felt the weight of it. The overwhelming sense that I couldn’t keep up, that I was failing at everything. Have you ever felt that way? Maybe you feel that way now. I took a deep breath, grabbed my Bible, and flipped to a passage I’d turned to many times before: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” — Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) I let the words wash over me. Perfect peace. Not because everything on my list magically got done. (Where is a cleaning fairy when you need her?!) Not because I suddenly had all the answers. But because God is peace. The more I fix my thoughts on Him—through prayer, worship, even just whispering Jesus, I trust You—the more that peace settles into my heart. 3 Practical Ways to Trust God in the Chaos1️⃣ Start Your Day with a Surrendered Heart 2️⃣ Turn Overwhelming Moments into Prayer Prompts 3️⃣ Anchor Your Thoughts in Truth Still not feeling peace? Go back and repeat steps 1, 2, and 3. The good news is that the more we surrender, pray, and anchor our thoughts in truth, the more things change—or our mindset changes. We change to become more peaceful people. Friend, I don’t have it all figured out (ask my kids!), but I do know this—God is near. He sees you, loves you, and will carry you through.
