I hope this note finds you cozy—perhaps wrapped in a favorite blanket with a good book in hand. Or maybe it’s already spring where you are! That’s exciting.

Today, I want to share a glimpse into my writing journey. It’s one filled with twists, turns, and chaos. Maybe you know all about it. (Humor me!) Or perhaps there will be something new that you’ll learn. :)

A Glimpse into My Journey

Every writer has a unique story, and mine began as a young mom with two kids, pregnant with my third. If anyone was the most unlikely candidate to become a published author, it was me! Yet here I am now, with over 100 books in print, each one hard evidence that our dreams are worth pursuing.

My family is my greatest source of inspiration. Raising 10 kids (yes, you read that right!)—including 7 through adoption—has filled my life with stories, laughter, and a bit of beautiful chaos. (Okay, there were times it might NOT have been beautiful!) Life is messy, but that’s where the magic happens, right?!

My husband John and I have celebrated 35 wonderful years together, and we’re still dancing to the tunes of our favorite 80s playlist! I find joy in traveling for research, cherishing moments with my adorable grandkids, and soaking up life’s little adventures.

What’s On My Desk Right Now?

I’m excited to share two new releases that I hope you’ll LOVE!

- Faith That Sticks: Released on March 4, this book is a heartfelt guide for families looking to instill faith in their children through fun activities and relatable stories. Exciting New Endeavors: Online Homeschool Courses

As many of you know, I’ve been a homeschool mom for 30 years, and I’m currently teaching at our local homeschool co-op. I’m thrilled to announce that I’m preparing to take this experience online with courses launching in the fall at Epic Learning! These courses aim to provide fun, engaging learning experiences for students, and I can’t wait to share more details with you. Learning should be an adventure, and I’m here to help make it exciting! Behind the Scenes: My Writing Process

You may wonder how I balance all these projects while keeping my sanity intact! Here are a few fun insights into my writing process:

- Routine: I make sure to carve out dedicated writing time each day. This sacred space allows me to immerse myself in my stories, often with a cup of coffee in hand!

- Setting Small Goals: I focus on small, achievable goals during each writing session, whether it’s completing a chapter or developing a quirky character’s backstory.

- Finding Inspiration: I find inspiration in everyday life—during walks, conversations, or while enjoying my favorite 80s tunes. It’s a reminder that stories are everywhere, just waiting to be told!

Every word is a step in the dance of creativity!

Upcoming Projects: Collaborations with Family and Friends

I’m also excited to share that I’m currently working on my third novel with my son Nathan, following our previous collaborations, Breath of Bones and Flight of Fate.

Additionally, I’m crafting a split-time romance that dances between the present day and the vibrant 80s with my dear friend Jennie. It’s SO fun! I can’t wait to bring these stories to life for you! (More details coming soon!)
